May 30th, 2012: It was an elevated state where soul, mind and body were in complete sync with each other on Thursday when the ‘Art of Living’ founder His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s disciples visited JIMS, Vasant Kunj in order to inspire the kids of DART members to lead a healthy stress free life. A transition from sound to silence, from activity to rest was what was experienced by the DART members who participated in the Art of Living group meditation program.
The program began with the lamp-lighting ceremony. After that, the kids were taught meditation, yoga, few exercises and the art of pranayam to re-discover the present moment, not as a concept but as a direct experience. Around 20 students participated in the workshop and Arun, Neelima, Anju and Bulbul were the students volunteer to experience the difference.
All the participants left with simple but powerful techniques that they can practice every day.
Dr. Amit Gupta,the Chairman of Delhi Achievers Round Table said ‘In today’s times when we are leading such stressful lives, it is very important for us to realize the importance of Meditation and practice this art on a daily basis’.
The Art of Living Course has given participants the practical knowledge and techniques to unlock their deepest potential and bring fullness to life. Whether happy and successful or feeling the stress of poor health, disappointments, or fear, every participant is cared for and comes away lighter, with effective techniques for releasing mental and physical stress and increasing his or her health, energy, peace, self-knowledge, awareness, and joy.
