Dr. Luiza Pislaru is proud to announce that her company, Pislaru, Inc., has joined forces with the charity organization United Way. Through this partnership, Dr. Pislaru hopes to help children in her community, and throughout the world, get the clothing and supplies they'll need in order to attend school and complete their education.

The idea for the partnership rests solely on Dr. Luiza Pislaru.

"I've been blessed in that my company has been very successful," says Dr. Luiza Pislaru. "We have many devoted clients who come back for repeat business, over and over, and those clients have helped us to secure a substantial about of financial stability. I wanted to make sure we did the right thing with those profits. Ideally, I wanted to help improve the lives of young people. I thought the United Way could help me do that."

So, Dr. Luiza Pislaru contacted the organization in 2012, asking what she could do to help. While she knew she could volunteer as an individual and make a difference that way, she felt that donating money from her company might have a greater impact.

"There's a limit to what you can do as an individual," she says. "People only have so much money in their own bank accounts, and sometimes spare time is hard to come by. Companies, on the other hand, tend to have deeper pockets and more funds to donate. After some deep thought, I just knew that pledging my company's profits was the best way to really do something to address childhood poverty and education needs."

Through the partnership, Dr. Luiza Pislaru's company will provide a financial gift, as well as donations of clothing and supplies. All of these items will be used to help children in need, and all will be managed by the United Way directly.

"The United Way has an excellent reputation for working honestly and making a real impact in the lives of the people they serve," says Dr. Luiza Pislaru. "I can't think of a company that's better suited to handle our donations and ensure that they go to the places where they are needed.
