The Jupiter Light Lodge sponsors several fundraisers for local organizations throughout the year. One such fundraiser is a fishing tournament, which benefits Quantum House, a local organization that provides housing to families with ill children in local hospitals. Lodge members contribute by taking part in the tournament and raising money to donate to the organization. Routt loves to fish, so he considers the opportunity to spend a morning with friends doing a hobby they have in common a privilege. The fact that it benefits a local organization is even more of a motivator.

Another annual activity sponsored by the Jupiter Light Lodge is the annual golf tournament. This one is near and dear to Routt’s heart because he happens to be a board member for the organization it supports: the Hope Center for Autism. The Hope Center is an organization formed to provide support to families and children whose lives have been affected by autism. Money raised by the Jupiter Light Lodge during the tournament was donated to support the Hope Center.

Being able to fraternize with fellow members of the community is very important to Travis Routt. As a member of the finance profession, it’s important for him to keep his hand on the pulse of the local community. He recognizes that as a professional, he is in a position to offer assistance to those who may benefit from his expertise.
