The Bright Path Ishayas Announce Volunteer Effort in Cuba

The Bright Path Ishayas recently completed a lengthy volunteer effort in Cuba. They are proud to announce that, as a result of this multi-year program, over 3,000 Cubans learned the concept of Ascension through the teachings of The Bright Path Ishayas.

The program was begun in 2009. While The Bright Path Ishayas had previously done volunteer work within susceptible communities, this marked the first time that the lessons would be provided to members of a country as a whole.

"In the past, we've done work within the prison system, both in the United States and Mexico," says a representative of The Bright Path Ishayas. "People within the prison system obviously need assistance with reaching inner peace. But we began to wonder if people living in a difficult economy might also need assistance."

There's no question that people in Cuba live under extremely dire economic circumstances. The ongoing political struggle, along with intolerant governmental policies, has placed a severe amount of strain on people both inside and outside of the country.

"Living in poverty can be incredibly difficult in terms of mental health," says a representative of The Bright Path Ishayas. "Our Ascension technique can help people to rise above these sorts of concerns and tap into their inner sense of power and peace. It was a perfect fit for Cubans."

Between the years of 2009 and 2011, The Bright Path Ishayas had volunteer teachers to enter Cuba and teach courses to willing participants. The response was amazing.

"We had a significant amount of interest from people all across Cuba," says the representative from The Bright Path Ishayas. "We had no idea the program would truly be this beneficial, and we were humbled by the response and happy to help in any way we could."
