Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), a leading global fluid management company has won three awards at the 6th and 7th State Level award for Excellence in Energy Conservation and Management organized by Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) for Kirloskarvadi and Kondhapuri Plants.
KBL’s Kirloskarvadi plant won first prize in the general category at the 6th State Level EC Award 2008-09 while Kondhapuri Plant won second prize in the small and medium enterprises category at the 6th State level EC Award for year 2008-2009. Kondhapuri plant also won the third prize in the engineering sector category at 7th Level EC Award for 2009-10.
The award ceremony was held on 13th March, 2012 at a grand function in Vashi. Mr. Ramchandra Mahind, Associate Vice President, Kondhapuri Operations at KBL and Mr. Nandkishor Harale, Manager, Maintenance received the awards for Kondhapuri Plant. Mr. Sambhaji Sawant, Manager, Plant Maintenance and Mr. Nitin Kulkarni, Assistant manager, Plant Maintenance received the award for Kirloskarvadi. Both the awards were received at the hands of Honorable Shri Ganesh Naik, Cabinet Minister State Excise and Non-Conventional Energy Maharashtra. KBL has implemented many effective methods for energy conservation and power saving.
