American College of Healthcare (ACH) offers six different course programs: Surgical Technology, Medical Assistant, Medical Administrative Assistant, Medical Billing and Coding, Pharmacy Technician, and Massage Therapist/Physical Therapy Aide. Each of these programs is tailored to meet rigorous guidelines and is taught by licensed clinical professionals with years of experience in a number of different medical fields.

Surgical technology students will be taught skills that will be performed before, during, and after surgery in order to ensure the patients’ safety and continued health. Students in the medical assistant program will become versed in a number of medical subjects including medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, phlebotomy, EKG, medical office management, diagnostic procedures, patient software, and administration of medications. Medical administrative assistants will learn how to operate and manage a medical office through coursework in business communication and office management.

Students enrolled in the medical billing and coding program — through a combination of in-class exercises and hands on experience — are taught how to effectively code medical procedures and diagnosis of each patient’s medical records and how to submit different claim forms to the appropriate providers. Students who are interested in the field of pharmaceuticals will find a wealth of information at their fingertips in ACH’s pharmacy technician program. Pharmacy technicians perform a number of administrative duties in a pharmacy environment. Lastly, there is a growing demand in the healthcare market for massage therapists and physical therapy aides. ACH offers classes for both careers for students interested in taking a more holistic approach towards helping and healing others.

The Career Services Department at ACH is available to assist all students with resume writing, interview preparation, professional development and placement assistance during and after their journey at school.
