Nevanta was founded by Sunija Rishi, an entrepreneur and marketer along with Atasi Chatterjee, an online marketing specialist with the backing of Sheelika Ravishankar, a senior management and HR professional.

The idea of nevanta.com came about from the lack of comprehensive information available online for the young Indian women on fashion, shopping and trends. Information which is not merely a critique but a practical and user friendly guide for all the women who wanted fashion magazine goods but found it impossible to spot them when they wanted to.
