Samalkha:26th April 2012: It is another big achievement of SGI that its Director Dr. Rajesh Goel was awarded “Vigyan Ratan” Award by All India Technical and Management Association (AITMA) in its 1st corporate Summit held at CII auditorium , Chandigarh on 26th April 2012. The award was given to him for his extraordinary contribution towards the development of science and technology by H.E Hon’ble Governor of Punjab Sh. Shiv Raj Patil. The dignitaries on the dais were Dr. Sudesh Aggarwal, Dr. Kuldeep Singh Dhindsa, Mr. Sukhbir Singh Hooda, YMCA Fbd., Mr. R.C Mishra,IPS and Sh. R.P Chander, IAS along with H.E Hon’ble Governor of Punjab.
Dr. Goel has been a prominent researcher and educationist since 1994. He has an excellent academic record during his Studies from School Level upto Doctorate. He has been awarded many appreciations during his studies. He was also awarded Gold Medal for Toping in M.Tech at NIT Kurukshetra(formally REC , Kurukshetra) by Hon’ble Governor of Haryana.

He was the founder Head of the Department and Principal at three other Institutions of repute in Haryana. He had been the Founder Member of Board of studies, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra for Information Technology and Member of Board of Studies for Electronics & Communication Engineering, for many years. His name was short listed for Vijay Rattan by India international Friendship society. He got the appreciation letter for his demonstration on "Optimization Techniques on Wireless Communication" from Head-Network Quality and Operations. Hutchison Essar Mobile Service Ltd. (Now Vodafone Essar Group). He had got appreciation letter from JASP,AR INC. A-12, G.T. Karnal Road Ind. area Delhi for “Vectorizer and image cleaner. Concept of designer and CAD/CAM professional to clean up, reduce color and vectorize images”. He had got appreciation from Dr. Anil Joshi, (Ex Professor, MIT & Harvard, USA) Director, Ambala College of Engineering and Applied research, Ambala-India, for commendable technical work as leader and Organization of Science Fair in Institute.

He is member of the various professional bodies like Institution of Engineers (India), Calcutta, IETE, and ISTE-New Delhi. He has published many research papers in International Journals and Conferences and is reviewer for referred international journal "Active and Passive Electronic Component". He has a multifaceted experience in industry, teaching and administration in the field of Electronics, Computers and Information Technology. During his work he visited many countries like United Arab Emirates and Australia and developed many associates/contacts with students, professors, entrepreneurs and engineers in India, Australia, USA and Europe.
During his tenure at Samalkha Group of Institutions, Samalkha, Panipat, beside his several other contributions, He has been the founder editor in chief of SGI-Reflection- International Journal of Science , Technology and Management, he has established Embedded research and Development centre(ERDC) for the research and development of Embedded systems and Robotics, which had bagged first prizes at IIT Khargpur and IIT Bombay and also established the Software solution Centre(SSC) for the research and development in the field of Computer Engineering, the centre has participated in IBM Sponsored TGMC Programmne for LIMCA Book of Record competition. He was Awarded with Shiksha Bharti Puruskar” by All India Acheiver’s Foundation in 2011 and Recently, he has been awarded “Bharat Shiksha Ratan” by Global Acheivers foundation for his achievement and contribution in field of engineering and technology.

Eminent Guest speakers from all over India were present in the summit including Prof. Dr. Kuldeep Singh Dhindsa Renowned scientist, Sh. I.P Chander, IAS, Sports Authority of Haryana. Dr. D.D.S Sandhu, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Dr. D.D. S Sandhu Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra were also amongst the Awardees for “Haryana Gaurav” Award.
