Glasgow Based Company Launches Kickstarter Campaign for New Sunglasses

Profile is a minimal sunglasses collection designed and manufactured by Glasgow based eyewear company, Banton Frameworks. Drawing inspiration from the mid 20th century UK eyewear industry, the brand applies functionality with a utilitarian aesthetic. With a strong focus for UK based manufacture and industrial processes, Banton Frameworks stamp their mantra; eyewear that is ?designed well, made well, here.?

The Profile series is precision machined from premium Italian acetate. Rotational polishing occurs for three days to achieve an understated matt finish. Profile features classic detailing including a timeless keyhole bridge, solid stainless steel rivets and high quality CR39 lenses. For the sides, robust stainless steel uni-piece temples are durably coated with a PVD finish.

Profile is offered in four differing matt finish colour models; black, tortoise, grey and blue. The frame is packaged inside a minimal black carton, secured shut with a tactile silicone band. Upon opening, the carton unfolds to reveal the bespoke hard-case in which the sunglasses are stowed. Profile is positioned as a unisex design that can be worn in the car, on the street or away on that weekend in the sun.
