Attorney Nick Oberheiden Featured by National and Local Media Outlets as Legal Expert

Federal criminal defense attorney and constitutional scholar Dr. Nick Oberheiden has been chosen by a wide variety of national and local media stations to serve as a legal commentator and expert.

"My goal is to explain complex legal matters in plain and simple language. Many people are confused when they follow the news on controversial matters, and they want to hear someone present a clarifying analysis," says Nick Oberheiden.

Attorney Nick Oberheiden has been featured by some of the largest national and local media outlets on a variety of constitutional and federal law matters. These topics have recently included the constitutionality of President Trump's so-called "travel ban," pertinent questions of national security, the workings of the U.S. Supreme Court, the structure and appointment process within the federal judiciary, the organization and appointment process within the Department of Justice, the First Amendment challenge by Oregon music group "The Slants" at the U.S. Supreme Court in the matter of Lee v. Tam, a discussion of the judicial procedure in federal murder cases as exemplified in the Dylan Roof shooting in South Carolina, the alleged use of FBI undercover agents against Best Buy customers, and analysis of high-profile federal lawsuits such as the federal terrorism litigation against Twitter and other social media outlets.

Nick Oberheiden has been interviewed live by Fox News National Radio (covering approximately 900 stations), Radio America, the Genesis Communication Network (800 stations) the Jim Bohannon Show (500 stations), Washington Watch (270 stations), the Rusty Humphries Show (250 stations), Jim Brown's Common Sense Show, Think! America, the Steve Gruber Show, the Jeff Crilley Show, and the Lars Larson Show. Additionally, Nick Oberheiden has appeared on numerous local networks across the United States, including but not limited to shows in Dallas (KLIF AM 570, 820 AM WBAP Radio), San Diego (600 KOGO), Los Angeles (790 KABC Radio), Sacramento (1380 KTKZ Radio), Portland, Seattle (820 KGNW Radio), Louisville (840 WHAS Louisville), Minneapolis-St. Paul (830 WCCO Radio), Minnesota (830 WCCO), Lexington (630 WLAP Lexington), Richmond (1140 WRVA Radio), Charlottesville (1070 AM WINA Radio), Camden, Pittsburgh (1320 WJAS Bloomdaddy Radio), Lansing (1320 WILS Radio), Canton (1480 WHBC Radio), Cincinnati (700 WLW Radio), Toledo (1370 WSPD Radio), Des Moines (1040 WHO Radio & WMT Radio Cedar Rapids) Memphis (600 WREC), McAllen (710 AM KURV Radio), Baton Rouge (1150 WJBO Radio), Breaux Bridge (KPEL 96.5 Radio), Orlando, West Palm Beach (850 WFTL Radio), Fort Myers, and Tampa (970 WFLA), to name just a few.

As Nick Oberheiden says, “part of being an attorney is public service. I believe that explaining difficult legal topics to people who may not be familiar with legal principles or jargon helps maintain faith in the integrity of our justice system.”

Currently, Dr. Oberheiden appears Monday through Friday on Fox4 News Dallas-Fort Worth to cover the federal criminal trial against Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price. The Price case is considered one of the most significant public corruption and bribery prosecutions in Texas history. In his workings with Fox 4 News, Nick Oberheiden closely monitors the case, summarizes testimony, and critically analyzes the underlying strategies of both government prosecutors and defense lawyers. The Wiley Price bribery case is scheduled to last for several months and its conclusion will, regardless of outcome, substantially impact Dallas County politics.

Dr. Oberheiden's legal practice is limited to federal criminal defense, constitutional law, and government investigations. He is the founder of Dallas-based The Oberheiden Law Group, a boutique federal litigation firm that serves clients in both civil and criminal matters.
