Twisted Mines Star Kenny G. Strong pays tribute to R&B group New Edition

Atlanta, Ga. (January 31, 2017) ? Twisted Mines Star Kenny G. Strong recently appeared at the 25th Annual Trumpet Awards to pay tribute to the iconic R&B group New Edition. The show, which aired on Bounce TV on January 29, featured the actor and dancer as a member of the quintet ?The Transitions?.

The group saluted the evening's Lifetime Achievement Trumpet Award honorees with a performance of ?Candy Girl?. The performance proved to be crowd-rousing and filled with nostalgia.

Strong is currently preparing to return to production for Season 2 of the new series ?Twisted Mines?. Production is scheduled to begin mid-February in Atlanta. The series follows his character hip-hop dancer, Omari Smith as he struggles with relationships with his high maintenance girlfriend, his step-mother, and friends. The first season opens with Omari being on house arrest from a previous encounter with the local police as he battles the consequences that are delegated by the judge. Twisted Mines, which is created and directed by Jonathan K. Carter and produced by Shauna D. Balfour, received accolades as the Best Web Series at the Charlotte Black Film Festival. It was also officially selected for the Mindie by the Miami Independent Film Festival.
