Zenith Dance Institute had hosted a dance competition for children from NGOs in Delhi. It was an initiative taken by the founding members of Zenith Dance Institute ? Sooraj Katoch and Ritu Kapoor. They wanted to extend the platform of Zenith Dance Institute to children who had exceptional dancing talent.

The first prize was won by Veeru from Literacy India Foundation. The first runners-up position was taken by Dipali from Bharti Foundation and second runners-up was secured by Rajani from Vidya Ankur Foundation.

The event was hosted at Lok Kala Manch, New Delhi and saw nearly 70 children participating in the event. For encouraging these kids, celebrity singers like AVIJ ? of Die Hard Fame, who is also RJ from 104 FM and D Soldierz? of ABCD 2 ?Happy Birthday? fame ? graced the occasion. Auditions were held throughout Delhi wherein, more than 300 students participated.

The jury members at the event were senior dancers from Zenith Dance Institute and Sooraj Katoch himself. Sooraj was excited to see such talent on the stage and encouraged students to work on their expressions for embellishing their dancing skill.

Ritu Kapoor, founding member of Zenith Dance Institute opined ?It was a pleasure to see children perform on the stage, they were exceptional. Zenith Dance Institute is proud to host an event like this and will continue this effort going forward.?

The members from the jury including Reema Katoch ? wife of Sooraj Katoch- Geeta and Sonam, were thrilled to witness children perform on the stage with great confidence. They were of the opinion that children made their presence felt with brilliant choreography and concept. They especially liked the girls from Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya represented by Bharti Foundation.

?It was rewarding to see 23 girls coming from Kanjhawala, Near Kanjhawala Chowk for the event. Seeking permissions from parents, principals and others might have been tough for them, but they still managed to get the consent for attending the dance competition. It felt absolutely splendid and super? said Reema Katoch.

Zenith Dance Institute also gave away scholarship to 16 children at the event. This free scholarship will enable the children to learn professional dance from instructors of Zenith Dance Institute. The children will be enrolled into new batches and will be taught various dancing styles for enhancing their skills.

AVIJ, who recently released his latest music video ?die-hard fan? which was choreographed by Sooraj Katoch said that ?It always feels special to be a part of someone?s dream. Someone among those kids will be a superstar someday.?
?They say God is a father to the fatherless and such kids are blessed with God?s very own love and will.
