Daily Equity News Letter 13-01-2012

MARKET WRAP FOR EQUITY

• Indian market ends down; Nifty was down 29 pts, Sensex was down 139 pts.
• Britain’s industrial Production came at (-)0.6% vs.(-)1.0% as expected 0.1%
• Euro markets were in green with CAC leading; Dow Jones was down 10 pts.

Owing to weakness in IT, the markets closed weak today, though banking, auto and metal provided good support to the indices. Nifty was down 30 pts at 4831 & Sensex was down 138 pts to settle at 16037. Euro markets were green with DAX up 95 pts at 6247, CAC up 44 pts at 3249 and FTSE up 24 pts at 5695. Dow Futures was up 50 pts.

Stock Recommendation

Money CapitalHeight’s stock recommendation for 13/01/2012 is Tata Motors.
Tata Motors has been in uptrend in the medium term making higher tops and higher bottoms. The stock before few days has breaks its symmetrical triangle and has gone up. Also Tata Motors has broken its 200DMA and is upside in the near term. Tata Motors is now forming a flag pattern and breakout of which would gave it a sharp run of 15-20 points. Today the stock after gap down opening has made handsome gain and has given a positive closing. Tata Motors if breaks the level of 207-209 may test the level of 216 in the near term and if continued may test 226-228.

Our recommendation on Tata Motors is BUY above 206.5 for Target 208 & 210.
