GOVT. of MP Grants UBER LICENSE To Operate In Indore

Indore, April, 2016: Uber, the smartphone app that provides an affordable and reliable transportation option by seamlessly connecting riders to drivers at the push of a button, has been granted an operating license from the regional transport office in Indore.

On receiving the license, Ipsita Das, General Manager, Expansion, Uber West, said We are extremely happy and grateful to the the Government of Madhya Pradesh for leading the way with progressive regulations and embracing the value Uber brings to the State. We will continue to offer affordable, reliable and safe transportation options to the riders and help increase skill labour by providing economic opportunities in the State of MP.

The licence has been granted to Uber under Section 120 of the MP Motor Vehicles Rules, 1994 from the RTO of Indore. Uber started its operations in Indore in July 2015.
