The Board of Directors of Unichem Laboratories Ltd at their meeting held on July 22, 2010 approved the First Quarter [Q1] and Annual Audited Results for FY 2009-10.

The Company recorded a total income of Rs. 187.49 Crore for the quarter ended 30th June 2010 as against Rs. 169.33 Crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, showing an increase of 10.72%. The Company recorded a Profit before interest & exceptional items of Rs. 43.62 Crore as against Rs. 40.80 Crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year showing an increase of 6.91%.

The Company recorded a Net Profit of Rs. 33.35 Crore as against Rs. 32.39 Crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The EPS for the quarter was Rs. 9.19 as against Rs. 8.96 for the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. The Board approved Split of face value of Equity Share from Rs. 5/- per equity share to Rs. 2/- per equity share subject to approval of shareholders in the forthcoming general meeting.
