Twitter is on the brink of closing out an $800 million dollar deal, which is set to pave the way for future growth. The move is also an attempt at buying out existing employees and investors. While Twitter was originally valued at a little over $3.5 billion in December, it is likely to be valued at approximately $8 billion once all formalities are completed.

“There is great activity being seen on Twitter. Not just in terms of the number of users which is
growing by the hour, but also in the structure and dynamics within the company. The news of existing investment is only one of many opportunities which are waiting to knock. With several other investors looking to strike deals, there is great promise for Twitter. There is, however, also a flip side to the story. “There is a greater demand that will be placed on Twitter. Although it is going in the same direction as Facebook did in its initial days, there is increased competition and great expectation.
