The Company History:
The company was established six years ago and was the brainchild of Robert Knapp, who tells us that "The Langford name has been passed down through the generations on my late mother's side of our family so choosing it for my business had a very special meaning to me."

Robert cut his teeth working in curtain and upholstery workshops in South Africa before establishing his own interior design practice in Johannesburg.

Relocating to London in 1999 and was lucky to gain experience working for three leading design brands, Fired Earth, Andrew Martin and the fantastic de Le Cuona before establishing Robert Langford in 2005.

"I started from home with eight headboard designs and it kind of grew from there" says Robert, "coming from an interior design background, I understood what the interior design market was looking for: well put together pieces that designers could personalize to suit their projects.

Thank goodness, I was right and we now have over 100 products, 10 staff and a bustling 3000 square feet of showroom on the corner of Kings and Lots Road in London."

Most of our products are manufactured in the United Kingdom, which gives us so much more control over the quality and supports the local manufacturing industry, our range as it stands consists of 20 Sofa Designs, 35 Occasional Chair Designs, 25 upholstered Dining Chair Designs, and 20 Headboard Designs all of which can be personalised to suit our clients requirements

The refurbished Showroom:
Thanks to the phenomenal support from our customers, Robert Langford will be opening our refurbished bed studio and sofa gallery on the lower ground level of the flagship showroom in early September; this will coincide with the launch of the new collection of upholstered pieces and case goods at Decorex 2011.

Robert sums up by saying that "our promise to our clients is that Robert Langford will continue to deliver great product, unsurpassed service and most importantly, peace of mind for as long as our clients will have us, we aim to be the little black dress of the interior design industry, a stylish necessity"
