Cannabliss Comments as ‘Regulate Florida’ Abandons Full Legalization Drive

Cannabliss: The group behind a bid to fully legalize the use of marijuana by adults in Florida has abandoned their effort to get on the 2016 ballot.

Cannabliss, the Florida-based wholesale distributor of medical and legal recreational marijuana products says it has not been discouraged by news the group behind the ?Regulate Florida? movement has abandoned its efforts to have its amendment proposal included on the 2016 ballot.

?Regulate Florida? wanted to pursue an amendment to Florida?s state constitution which would legalize the use of marijuana by adults in the state but it currently doesn?t have enough verified signatures on its petition to bring the amendment to a popular vote and it admits it won?t be able to get them before the December 31 deadline. 683,149 verified voter signatures is the minimum requirement.

?This is something of a blow to the full legalization lobby but they are regrouping and will take another shot in 2018,? explained Brad Flint, press spokesperson for Cannabliss.

The news came as another full legalization advocacy group, Floridians for Freedom also shelved its plans for a proposed amendment in 2016 and opted instead to redouble its efforts for a fresh petition in 2018.

With the ?Regulate Florida? and ?Floridians For Freedom? proposals now withdrawn, only the United For Care proposal is certain to be included in the November 8, 2016 ballot. Cannabliss and incrEDIBLES Caf? LLC, its wholly-owned subsidiary plans to open a chain of 22 stores in Florida legally dispensing medical marijuana products. Their plans largely depend on the amendment being passed.

?We are highly-confident the amendment will be passed comfortably this time. We don?t anticipate a repeat of the disappointment of 2014,? concluded Flint.
