Portland, OR, April 21, 2011 -- Rodney Lough Jr., highly acclaimed Master Landscape Photographer and environmental advocate, is celebrating Earth Day in his Wilderness Collections Galleries this Friday, April 22. This year marks the 41st anniversary of Earth Day and the first anniversary of his Las Vegas gallery. Pledging to make everyday Earth Day, he designed his Las Vegas gallery to the strictest environmental standards set by the U.S. Green Building Council. The Rodney Lough Jr. Wilderness Collections Gallery was awarded the only Gold Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Certification of any fine art gallery in all of Las Vegas.

Like an oasis in the desert, the Rodney Lough Jr. Wilderness Collections gallery is a hidden gem in the heart of Las Vegas, truly a destination unto itself. Located on Gallery Row in the newly designed CityCenter complex, the enormous, towering cedar trees of the gallery’s entrance invites visitors to escape into pure wilderness. One of the most distinguishing features of the gallery is the use of wood throughout the design, giving it an earthy yet sophisticated feel. All the wood used in the gallery was derived from sustainable sources, either from certified forest management programs or reclaimed from a century old barn. The gallery’s design creates the perfect natural medium to display the artist’s large-format photographs of Earth’s most beautiful and awe-inspiring landscapes.
