GLD Commercial to Build New Warehouse Distribution Facility

GLD Commercial is pleased to announce they are scheduled to build a new warehouse distribution facility in Cedar Rapids for a yet-to-be-disclosed company. This new 200,000 square foot warehouse will cost approximately $10 million and will be located at 600 49th Ave. Dr. SW.
Last month, GLD Commercial took their request to take on this project before the city council to determine if the project would be allowed. The project involves constructing the warehouse on a 14.5 acre lot located in the industrial area located around Bowling Street SW and US Highway 51. There is currently no set timeline for the project, but it is expected to be completed sometime in 2018. The company could not disclose the name of the business that will occupy the warehouse at this time.
